Pump Up the 'Toons
Here at BarBend, we spend a lot of time writing about some of the best bodybuilders and strength sports athletes ever to walk the face of the Earth. But every once in a while, we like to ponder fitness topics that are a bit more … animated.
To that end, we’ve put together the most important listicle you’ll read all week as we look at the 10 fittest cartoon characters in history. From anime heavyweights to Saturday morning warriors, we’ve combed the history of animation to find the fittest of the fit. And just in case you want to build a barrel chest like Mr. Incredible or a pair of boulder shoulders like Goku, we’ve got workouts to complement each entry.
CrossFit
A New Era of the Team Divison
CrossFit is going to look a whole lot different in 2023. The most high-profile changes involve a new competition map and standardized programming across every semifinal competition. But fans should really pay attention to the tweaks in the team division. More specifically, the eligibility rules.
In 2022, the rules stated that “in addition to being active members of the team’s CrossFit affiliate, team athletes all must live within 100 miles of the CrossFit affiliate they are representing.” That’s all changed. Now, it’s much easier for an athlete to be eligible for a team, which could lead to more diversity on rosters and give rise to the return of superteams. There’s a lot to break down, but that’s what we do best around here.
