🏋️ a 1,000 pound squat never looked so easy

In a happy coincidence, bodybuilders Dana Linn Bailey and Regan Grimes both recently attended the annual LA Fit Expo. While hanging out in the Southern California sun, they headed out to a legendary bodybuilding site to train together.

Andrew Hause Destroys a Squat Over 1,000 Pounds
At his current squatting pace, powerlifter Andrew Hause might actually be able to lift a house one day. We know. It sounds ludicrous and almost impossible. But this young man's making believers out of us.
On July 5, 2022, Hause shared footage on his Instagram where he squatted 467.8 kilograms (1,031.4 pounds) in wraps during a training session. The figure gives the athlete a new personal record (PR) by roughly 25 pounds (!). If that's not impressive enough, Hause said he unexpectedly lost around 15 pounds of body weight before notching this massive squat. It seems nothing can stop this one-person wrecking ball.
In his early 20s, Hause can already boast an eye-catching resume. He holds the all-time Junior total World Record (wraps) of 1,105 kilograms (2,348 pounds) from the 2021 Revolution Powerlifting Syndicate (RPS) Showcase Super Classic. At the same contest, he notched the Junior squat World Record of 456.3 kilograms (1,006 pounds).
Meanwhile, James Searcy holds the current raw squat with wraps record of 480 kilograms (1,058.2 pounds). Perhaps with better health fortune and his usual strength combined, Hause will soon be able to claim another World Record squat.

Dana Linn Bailey and Regan Grimes Visit Gold's Gym
Over time, we've found that one of the best things about travel is the plans you make on the fly. But while regular folks like us make unscheduled turns toward the beach or a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, bodybuilders Dana Linn Bailey and Regan Grimes are slightly different.
During a trip to the 2022 LA Fit Expo in late June, Bailey and Grimes happened to catch up to one another. They decided to make a mutual diversion only an elite strength athlete might make: to the legendary Gold's Gym in Venice Beach, CA. And no, they weren't there sightseeing. Their visit was about getting a quality back training session together at the place once frequented by Arnold Schwarzenneger.
Bailey is on a current indefinite hiatus from competitive bodybuilding. At the same time, Grimes is training to improve upon a 15th place finish at last year's Mr. Olympia. Clearly, there was no better time for them to link up at the "Mecca of bodybuilding."
