We should've known Tiffany Chapon was going to be special. Since the French athlete started competitive powerlifting in late 2020, it's largely been nothing but smooth sailing. Her latest dominant performance should probably make the 20 year-old a household name in strength.

On June 6, 2022, during the 2022 International World Powerlifting (IPF) Championships, Chapon outdid herself. She broke three separate IPF World Records on the squat, bench press, and total en route to her second consecutive title in the 47-kilogram weight class.

Here's a rundown of her top stats from a staggering, record-setting day:

  • Squat — 160.5 Kilograms (353.9 pounds) — World Record

  • Bench Press — 96 Kilograms (211.6 pounds) — World Record

  • Deadlift — 170 Kilograms (374.85 pounds)

  • Total — 426.5 Kilograms (940.4 pounds) — World Record

It's unclear when Chapon wants to compete next. But if she's already two-for-two on the illustrious IPF World stage, we'll likely see some excellence from her again very soon.

On June 7, 2022, USA Weighlifting former American weightlifter Isaac Berger passed away at the age of 85. There's never an easy way to talk about someone in their passing. But Berger's place in his sport makes honoring his life and achievements a jaw-dropping look at weightlifting history

In the mid-20th century, Berger was a fixture in the United States' weightlifting scene. Across three separate Summer Olympic Games (1956 Melbourne, 1960 Rome, and 1964 Tokyo), Berger captured a gold medal and two silver medals for the Americans.

Beyond that, and undoubtedly more importantly: As a Jewish immigrant from Israel, Berger helped break cultural barriers and stereotypes for his community in the West.

The name of the exercise could be confusing, considering it's also a greeting, but the "good morning" is still a perfect addition to your routine.

If you're like us, we're always trying to figure out ways to help our back and strengthen our hamstrings and glutes. Hey, life gets busy. Like it or not, as we get older, those different foundational parts of our body might need more attention. There are few better ways to kill three birds with one stone than some good mornings as part of a hearty workout.

From the different variations (weight doesn't matter as much as technique!) to setting a good training cadence, here's a complete breakdown of the good morning.
