Tonal took my strength to the next level. I played college volleyball, did CrossFit, and have been lifting for the past 20 years, but I never managed to stay super consistent or build the type of strength and muscle mass I wanted. With Tonal, the programming is done for me.

The artificial intelligence ups my weight when it knows I’m ready for more, and the dynamic weight modes allow me to target either the eccentric or concentric portion of my lift for an added challenge. I’ve been using mine for three years now and can’t imagine my life without it. I don’t have to roll weight plates around in a gym or wait for a rack to open up. I just turn my Tonal on, select my programming, adjust the arms, and bam, I’m off to the races.

While the magnetic weight maxes out at 200 pounds, it feels way heavier than this. In the gym, I can do 25-pound biceps curls—brag—but on Tonal, I can only manage 15 pounds.
