Powerlifter Hunter Henderson (82.5 KG) broke her own all-time squat world record at this past weekend’s WRPF Ghost Clash 2 meet. Give it a watch.
Being over 40 doesn’t mean you can’t hit the gym with some vigor. It just means you need to keep these tips in mind.
How much does a pro strongman eat? The Stoltman brothers recently teamed up to show off their combined 10,694-calorie diet as they train for March’s Arnold Strongman Classic.
A New World Record!
Hunter Henderson’s Historic Day
The first major powerlifting meet of the year has come and gone, and with it, old records flittered away as the sport’s elite brought their A-game to the platform. And it was powerlifter and pro bodybuilder Hunter Henderson who set the first world record at this weekend’s Ghost Clash 2 meet in Miami.
The lift occurred this past Sunday when Henderson broke her own record in the 82.5-kilogram category by squatting 267.5 kilograms (589 pounds) in knee sleeves. And she somehow made the new all-time mark look easy.

Exercise Tips
Training Over 40
The gym is for everyone. It’s for bodybuilders working to reach 5% body fat on stage and powerlifters who want to bench press 500 pounds. It’s also for folks who have some gray in their hair, some well-earned laugh lines, and a few general aches and pains from more than two decades of “adulting” — that’s a term today’s kids use for the thing we just call “life.”
If you’re 40 or over, you need to approach the gym with a few rules in mind. Not to be a buzzkill, but you can’t train like a twentysomething because you don’t recover like a twentysomething. But that doesn’t also mean you’re stuck doing just weight machines or water aerobics, either. From the best exercise choices to nutrition and recovery advice, we’ve got tips on hitting the gym hard, even if you're old enough to remember how an 8-track player works.

The Caloric Adventures of the Stoltman Bros.
The 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic takes place from March 2-5 and will feature the season debut of Tom and Luke Stoltman. Luke is the 2021 Europe’s Strongest Man, and Tom is coming off back-to-back World’s Strongest Man titles. While both athletes are highly decorated, neither has captured the Arnold crown yet.
To prep for that elusive title, the brothers are doing more than just lifting big — they’re eating big. The duo recently took to their YouTube channel to publish a video that shared the 10,694 calories they consume daily during their contest prep. Apparently, eight-egg omelets and a skillet full of bacon is the new breakfast of champions.

A Venerable Strongman Steps Down
Not only did renowned strongman Mark Felix recently announce that he will compete at the 2023 World’s Strongest Man contest, but he also revealed this year will be his last time at the show.
More history was made at Ghost Clash 2 when powerlifter Kheycie Romero (100 KG) set three all-time records in the squat, deadlift, and total.
