Masterful Strength

Powerlifter Rudy Kadlub cannot be stopped. Earlier this week, the 73-year-old posted a video to Instagram showing off a staggering 206.4-kilogram (455-pound) squat with knee wraps that he hit during training. According to Open Powerlifting, that mark is 1.4 kilograms (3.1 pounds) heavier than his current International Powerlifting League (IPL) all-time squat world record in the Masters 70-74 division.

Kadlub performed the unofficial IPL world record squat while wearing a lifting belt and using a Kabuki Strength squat bar. (It should be noted that Kadlub is the CEO and co-owner of Kabuki Strength.) According to his Instagram caption, Kadlub's next competition is the United States Powerlifting Association Oregon State Championships on December 3, 2022, in Newport, Oregon. If his competitive resume is any indication, Kadlub could be heading to the top of the podium yet again.
